Tips for getting the best from your domestic cleaner

Tips for getting the best from your domestic cleaner

Clean as you go
As silly as it sounds, if your house is in order before the domestic cleaner arrives, she will have more time to do a thorough job and even do some extra deep cleaning if need be.

Communicate with your domestic cleaner
Domestic cleaners are not mind readers and they will not know that you want things to be done in a certain way. Tell her your priorities and expectations.

What the domestic cleaner needs from you
– Good quality cleaning products and equipment. if you want a good job you will need to provide enough clothes, enough chemicals and a good vacuum cleaner and mop.

– Hours. To do a good job, your domestic cleaner will need time. Make sure you arrange enough hours with her so the end result is what you are expecting.

And if something does not go well?
If your domestic cleaner proves to be unreliable, look for another person. Sadly, unreliable cleaners will not change; instead of getting weekly headaches, look for someone that will take their job seriously.

What other tips would you add to this list? Share with us!

Clean Stains on Solid Surfaces in Bukit Jalil, Sri Petaling and Sunway

How to Clean Stains On Solid Surfaces.
Solid surfaces are less of a hassle than clothing and materials to clean since they do not absorb the liquids or stain of whatever is spilt onto them. The nonporous nature of the solid surfaces thus makes cleaning these surfaces less of a hassle. However, in the event that it does stain, you should know exactly what to do. It is important that you take the right steps to get the stain out right away. So here are some options you could take.

So the question here is, what is the right way to get rid of the stain yourself?
Sometimes your countertop gets stained from the residue of food, liquid spills, etc. You may take a list of various measures to avoid the stain, but there is no use talking about the measures you take once the surface is stained. So once the stain has set itself on your surface, and is just there looking ugly, let’s try and remove the stain.

Find out what type of surface you are dealing with (unless you already know)
The most common surface to get stained is your countertop. No matter how hard you try, there are situations where the surface would get stained. So let’s see what kind of countertops are commonly available in the market; the solid countertops in the markets are classified into three. These are the matte finish tops, semi-gloss tops and high-gloss tops. The cleaning substances you use for each top will vary – they are not usually interchangeable. Glossy surfaces specifically demand a mild type of soap, whilst in the case of a matte finish, you would be required to use a more abrasive cleaner, or even opt out of using baking soda.

Weak stains and mild cleaners
What you have to do here to clean the stain is, dampen a cloth with a mild cleaning solution or an ammonia based cleaner that is non-window cleaning. After you are done, all you have to do is wipe down on where the stain in circles, until you have effectively removed the stain. Once you are done, rinse and clean the cloth you used, before you let it dry. You should repeat this daily for maintenance – this will ensure your countertop is always clean and shiny.

Stronger stains and stronger cleaners
There are situations where the mild cleaners just won’t do the trick and there is a need for a stronger substance. This is where the stain is deeply set in. These are the tougher stains, where you need to use special cleansers. When you use these special liquids, you have to soak the surface which is affected for about ten minutes. After you have let the substance soak, all you have to do is, get a scrubbing sponge, and then rub the surface in circular motions. NOTE: Do not use floor cleaners or oven cleaners for your counter tops. As they are called, they are not meant for your counter top. These cleaners have ingredients that are too harsh for your countertops and they could diminish the colour of your countertops, ruining it completely. Also note not to over scrub the top, as it may scratch your top if you scrub excessively. The saying “too much of something is good for nothing” applies here; too much scrubbing here is not going to do you good.

Disinfecting your beautiful countertop
Your countertop can be disinfected with a mild bleaching solution. Before you begin using it, dilute it with water on a 1:1 ratio. Then, you have to apply it with a damp cloth. You can even use this bleach to remove the tougher stains. You can also use disinfecting wipes, the disposable kind if you prefer. After you are done, clean the surface thoroughly.

Ensure that you rinse your countertop thoroughly
Whenever you can, make sure that you rinse your countertop with water, thoroughly, and then dry it completely. End your routine clean up by polishing your countertop dry, with a clean cleaning cloth. This would make sure that you bring back its old shine and will help you get rid of tough water marks. Before you do the wrong thing, make sure that you read the instructions and guidelines of your countertop manufacturer. NOTE: that you don’t expose your countertop to harsh chemicals, ever. Do not use paint removers, drain cleaners, oven cleaners, lacquer cleaners, or whatever other harsh cleaning chemical ideas you get. If you do accidentally spill any of the above-mentioned items on the countertop, use lots of water immediately to clean it up, without letting the chemicals to do any damage.

Ensure that you follow the instructions provided carefully, word to word, to ensure that you end up with success. Ensure protect the surface from harsh chemicals and heat.

Dirties Place In Your Home

What Is The Dirtiest Place In Your Home?
It is no surprise that our home is filled with all kinds of nasty filth and grime. We bring in germs on our bare feet, our bedsheets and mattresses are covered with debris, and let’s not forget our bathrooms!

Ask most people and they will tell you that the toilet is hands down the dirtiest place in a home. Surprisingly, your toilet is actually one of the cleanest surfaces in your home! While this might come as a surprise, it actually makes sense when you think about how often most people wash their toilets compared to some other places in the house that you wouldn’t expect to be as dirty.

But the place that takes home the prize for “most disgusting room” is actually one that you might not expect: Your kitchen. Given how much time we spend cleaning our kitchens, this might be surprising to most people. So why is this the case?

The answer lies in the fact that food is a carrier of some of the grossest germ. Bacteria from raw meat gets all over our kitchen without us even realising it. Our counter tops, sinks, and refrigerators have all been contaminated by the bacteria our food carries with it.

This is no thanks to perhaps the dirtiest item in our homes- the kitchen sponge. It is a dirty, dirty item that carries all sorts of food leftovers containing bacteria that can multiply over time. Many of us also fail to wash our hands thoroughly during food prep, and inadvertently spread germs all across the kitchen and beyond.

The most important things we can do to combat bacteria from our food is to make sure we always adhere to the highest standards of hygiene. Always disinfect your kitchen sponge after we use them and wash your hands like your life depends on it! These will help prevent cross-contamination that takes place as we go about our business in the kitchen.

How to clean granite kitchen worktops
Having a natural stone worktop is always hard work. We always have to be careful not to apply anything too abrasive or acidic (e.g. vinegar or bleach) or we can end up with a disaster of a kitchen counter. But here is a simple way to keep your granite worktops clean and shiny (no need for expensive granite-only cleaners!).

First, get prepared. You will need a couple of microfibre cloths, warm soapy water (you can use washing up liquid) and a little bit of rubbing alcohol or Isopropyl alcohol (91%).

Follow this simple steps:

1- Wash the surface with soapy water and a microfibre cloth.

2- Dry the surface with a clean microfibre cloth.

3- For regular disinfection: Fill a spray bottle with 50% water and 50% rubbing alcohol. Spray onto the granite worktop. Leave for a couple of minutes and wipe with a damp micro-fibre cloth.

Rubbing alcohol is a natural degreaser that can be used to remove grease, grime and soap residues. If applied periodically, it can help you disinfect your granite worktops and keep them shiny for longer!

Ramadan for Malaysia

You can expect most companies and businesses in the Malaysia to alter their timings of operation during Ramadan. Not having food or water during daylight hours means that workers are likely to feel lethargic and have lower productivity, and since Ramadan is falling in the summer this time, the heat is just going to add to it.
Home services companies are different. At the same time, they must also ensure that they cater to the needs and requirements of their customers. To help you plan and book your home services, we have done a round-up of various home services companies and their hours of operation during Ramadan to make sure you can find someone that suits your schedule (and budget, of course!).

Ramadan working hours for moving companies
Working hours and flexibility around working post depends on the type of the moving company you go for. In general, larger companies will be a bit more stringent and are likely to have a fixed working schedule. However, if you can’t fit your move within the stipulated timings, you may find it easier to hire a smaller moving company, since they are usually more flexible with regards to their timings and services and work on a client-to-client basis. In some cases, you may be able to convince them to resume the work after Iftar as well.

Despite the altered hours of operation, there are no changes in their charges, so hiring a moving company is still going to cost you the same.

Ramadan working hours for cleaning companies
Cleaning companies, in general, offer their services during Ramadan between 8 am and 6.30 pm, and are unlikely to work after time. This means if you have a regular weekly booking with your cleaning company after 6.30 pm, you should give your cleaning company a call to choose an alternative booking slot with them during Ramadan. Charges for cleaning services tend to remain the same throughout the year, with no additional charges incorporated due to Ramadan.

Whether you want to book a handyman service for the very same day or a cleaning service for a party at home, you can use Super Maid Cleaning Services at any time of the day to get in touch with our reliable and trusted home services companies.

Why Lemons Are A Great Natural Cleaning Product
If you’re habitually germ-conscious, always striving to keep your surroundings sanitary, then picking out the best cleaning products for the job can seem like a bit of an all-out nightmare. Do you get a general cleaner for surfaces? Do you get specific kitchen and bathroom cleaners? Do you get the one that kills 99% of bacteria and smells really nice or do you get the one without the enumerated efficiency but that promises a fresh, sparkling finish? It’s tough to keep track. And it might be even tougher to believe, but you can reduce costs, up your eco-friendliness, and keep your surroundings fresh and clean by investing in a few lemons. Don’t believe us? Here’s how you can use lemons as a cleaning agent in a variety of ways:

Kitchen
Lemon juice can be used to clean nearly everything in your kitchen – plus it makes things smell nice, which is why so many cleaning products are lemon-scented. Dip an old toothbrush in lemon juice to scrub grout. To clean and remove stains from cutting boards, slice a lemon in half and rub the juice full strength onto stains, leave them overnight, then rinse them. You can remove stains and smells from plastic food storage containers too, by soaking them in lemon juice, then adding some baking soda into the mix and scrubbing them. Clean your microwave by putting a ¾ cup of water and lemon juice inside, letting it boil, then wiping it dry. Keep your fridge fresh too by placing a half-lemon on a saucer in there – though don’t forget to change it once a week.

Bathroom
Whether at home or at the office, this is one room in which you definitely don’t want to encounter unpleasant smells. You can easily keep a toilet bowl fresh by pouring a half cup of lemon juice into the bowl and swishing it with a toilet brush. And if you’ve got pesky limescale or other forms of bathroom scum to contend with, make a paste with two parts bicarbonate soda to one part lemon juice, and apply it to the offending area with a damp cloth. Leave it for ten minutes and rub it off with a sponge or a soft toothbrush.

Surfaces
Be a little more careful with this one – despite its beneficial antibacterial properties, neat lemon juice can corrode marble and granite countertops. But putting some diluted lemon juice in a spray bottle is a great way of cleaning laminated counter tops – as long as you remember to wipe them down with water and dry them afterwards. You can use a half lemon and salt to clean tarnished brass items (but not brass-plated items), copper items, and chrome taps. Be careful and always test a small spot before diving right in, especially when cleaning anything valuable.

For windows and shower doors, put four tablespoons of lemon juice in a half-gallon of water and the resulting mix will dissolve dirt, grime, and water stains.

One cup of olive oil and half a cup of lemon juice makes a great polish for wooden furniture and hardwood floors alike – just dab some on a cloth and use it like your usual furniture polish.

Clothes
If you’re struggling to remove odours from clothes, add a teaspoon of lemon juice to the laundry along with your usual detergent – and you’ll get extra fresh-smelling clothes as a result. And put away those heavy-duty stain removers – lemon juice can act as a natural bleaching agent; include some when you wash your next round of white clothes and sheets and any pesky stains will be bleached away. Whether you’re at home or at work, keeping a few lemons around is a great way to make sure you’ve always got some DIY cleaning agents around. And when you’re free, you can marvel at their usefulness. Freshness all round!

Tips to an organised and clean home in Damansara, OUG, Petaling Jaya

9 Tips to an Organised and Clean Home

With the fast pace of life, it is easy to find yourself at the end of the week standing in the living room surrounded by clutter, pulling your hair out because you can’t find anything. This can easily happen after a move to a new home. It’s hard enough to work a full-time job, run a home, unpack all of those boxes and now you’re expected to organise?!

Organising is well worth the time and energy put into it. It is something that you will do that will need a little maintenance and attention every once in awhile but the reward of having an organised home is great.

Let’s say, you lose your keys twice a week and it takes you a half an hour running around your home to find them. That is an hour a week, and that ends up being 48 hours a year. You spend two days a year, just looking for your keys! If you live in your house for 15 years and continue to be unorganised in your home that could be an entire month you spent looking for your car keys. That is just wasted time that you could be spending with your family and making lasting memories.

Being proactive and organising your home is the only way to make sure that when you need something you can find it and your beautiful new home doesn’t get overrun by clutter.

Here are 9 must-have tips to an organised and clean home.
1. Designate an area for important documents and bills. Many times countertops and kitchen tables get overrun with the week’s mail. Keep an area out of site where these items can be kept.

2. Have an area inside a closet or somewhere near the door to have everything you need on hand right before you leave the house. This could be a shelf for your keys or a standalone wardrobe for
coats and shoes. If these items don’t have a “home” they will wind up all over your new home!

3. For the showers in your home, have shower caddies or organising shelves.

4. To keep countertop space in your bathrooms clear buy shower caddy organisers and keep everything under the sink. This way you can easily pull it out and it has all of your lotions, hair
products, and anything else you would need.
You can also by a small magnetic strip to put under bathroom counters to keep little things like tweezers.

5. Labels keep the home organised. In general, labels are a great way all throughout your house to stay organised. Labelling allows you the ability to quickly assess if something is what you need or want and saves you a lot of time. You can label drawers, cabinets, containers and much more in your home.

6. Use hooks to keep things off of the floor. Hooks are great for closets and entryways. This allows members of the house to hang their backpacks, coats and anything else that usually gets tossed on the back of the couch or bed.

7. Keep laundry baskets in every closet. It is even better if you can invest in presorted laundry baskets for whites and darks.

8. Keep extra bags for wastebaskets and trash cans INSIDE the containers. This eliminates having to store the bags separately and having to run to different rooms to get extra.

9. Keep a basket by the stairs on each floor. This way anyone heading upstairs can grab anything that needs to take to the other floor.

Clutter will always happen, even in an organised home. Organising just helps keep the clutter to a minimum and allows everyone in the house to carry with their everyday activities without being hindered by having to look for something every time they need it.

Congratulations on your new home! We wish you the best of luck and look forward to hearing anything you might have to add on this subject.

Common Cleaning Mistakes You are Doing at Home and at Work

You may be regularly cleaning at home and at work, but you might be doing it wrong the whole time. Learn how to avoid these cleaning mistakes.

Cleaning is not everyone’s first choice of having a fun time. However, if we are to maintain a safe environment for us and our loved ones then we all have to make an effort. We also need to understand that there’s cleaning and then there’s efficient cleaning. What if we tell you that you might be doing your cleaning wrong all this time? We have listed the most common cleaning mistakes that are doing more harm than good.

NOT CLEANING YOUR SPONGE
Avoid making these cleaning mistakes and learn from the cleaning experts, Super Maid Cleaning Services

While the sponge is great for wiping away dirt, they are considered one of the dirtiest things inside your house as they absorb harmful pathogens. Prevent cross contamination by disinfecting your sponges by zapping them in the microwave and replace them at least once a month.

OVERLOADING YOUR DISHWASHER
Do not overload your dishwasher.
Who wants to load the dishwasher twice? Maximising the appliance’s capacity by stacking too many dishes and utensils in your basket is the worst thing you can do. This can affect the dishwasher’s ability to reach items with soap and water which means, they won’t get clean.

NEGLECTING YOUR BIGGEST TOUCH POINTS
Don’t neglect the most-touched areas in your home and office.
Some of the most-touched areas in your home or office such as door knobs, faucets and handles obviously can be the germiest. Keep the germs at bay and keep these areas disinfected daily.

USING THE SAME CLEANING CLOTH EVERYWHERE
Use Microfiber Cloth as they are made to attract and capture 99% of dirt and bacteria.
Two words – cross contamination. Don’t make the cleaning mistake of using the same towel/cloth for wiping counters, drying dishes or drying hands. Germs from the counter may transfer to your hands or the other way around. Try implementing a colour coding system or better yet, use microfiber cleaning cloths as they are made to attract and capture 99% of dirt and bacteria.

USING A FEATHER DUSTER
Feather dusters only transfer the dirt from one surface to another.

Bad news. Instead of getting rid of the dust, feather dusters only transfer it from one surface to another. The best material to use is a microfiber cloth or dust wands. Its synthetic fibres attract dirt like a magnet.

Cleaning is a good and rewarding task but if you’re doing it wrong, it can quickly turn from positive to negative causing you more time, money and effort to correct it. Avoiding these cleaning mistakes can ensure you’re making the best use of your time.

The Hidden Places of Spring Cleaning Services in Jalan Klang Lama, Kuchai Lama, Old Klang Road

The Hidden Places of Spring Cleaning
Dust and cobwebs just pile up in places that are not necessarily noticeable to the everyday eye. We have listed a few spots in the house where attention may be needed and how to tackle them.

Radiators
Radiators – not just the front but underneath and behind and in the heat vanes. The challenging part is the back of it when against a wall.

First, lay a big cloth or towel under the radiator to collect dust. Get a duster on a long stick or a stick on its own and wrap the head with a cloth secured with tape. Alternatively, buy a special microfiber duster especially for the job. Now push the duster from the top to the bottom of the radiator at the back and in between the vanes or panels. Starting from one side and repeating until you have the whole radiator done. Finish by wiping off with a cloth and warm soapy water.

Vents
Air vents get covered in dust and cobwebs, which could interfere with the performance. Static electricity from the motor is the cause for grime to stick to vents.

Initially, use a hoover to remove dust. Then use an old toothbrush to clean between the vent openings. Next and if possible, unscrew events and hoover. You can also brush them and soak them in soapy water if dirt persists. Dry thoroughly and fit back.

Doors that lead to outdoors
Front doors, garage doors, side doors and patio doors will need a thorough clean. When opening doors look around at all the rails; top, bottom and sides and hinges too. You will more likely find cobwebs and dirt that has accumulated during the winter. Sliding patio doors have a sill track at the bottom.

Use a microfiber cloth and warm soapy water to wipe off dirt and dust. If some parts are trickier to reach to, use a soft brush or an old toothbrush. Dip it in the soapy water and shake excess before tackling those areas. Sliding patio doors can be swept or hoovered and mopped before and afterwards.

Windows
Dirt and cobwebs also build up around windows. Especially the sills under the window frame itself. This becomes obvious when you open your window. Modern VC windows are especially grimy, including at the back of the frame around hinges.

Clean as doors. A microfiber cloth or old toothbrush and soapy water.A window sill can be wiped off on the top and underneath areas, where cobwebs tend to build up.

How To Be The Person In Your Office That Everyone Loves

Obviously, it’s great to work with people who are responsible, organised, and who complete their work on time – but all of that’s generally expected in an office environment. You’re not paid to turn up to your workplace every day just to check your email and watch YouTube videos, after all. The very best co-workers aren’t just diligent; they’re pleasant, polite, and generally willing to do their part to make office life a little easier for everyone. Take up some of the following tips and you’ll be a beloved colleague in no time:

Don’t Forget To Restock
Are you the sort of person who uses up the last teabag without bothering to refill the jar, or takes the last few paperclips without bothering to let the person in charge of office supplies know they’re out? Congratulations: you get zero points for thoughtfulness. Of course, it’s easy to forget to do these things if you’re in a hurry, but there’s no excuse for a perennial lack of consideration. Different offices have different ways of doing things – you may have to let the relevant person know that there’s no milk left in the kitchen, or it may just be a matter of you having to get a new box of staples from the designated cupboard. Either way, don’t just wander off and leave it to be dealt with by the next person who comes along. And if you are the unfortunate next person who comes along, don’t ever take out your frustrations by stealing your colleagues’ food or drink. That’s just the ultimate Good Co-Worker No-No.

It’s All About Communication
Polished communication skills are a must-have no matter what your job. Whether you’re regularly liaising with one person or one hundred, your communication skills are demonstrated and tested on a regular basis. So even through small things like emails and memos, it’s worth establishing yourself as a person who’s always open and engaging. Where appropriate, prefacing an email with a friendly greeting (and being polite throughout) can make a world of difference over a message more like, “Hi. Can you come by my office at 5? Thanks.” If you’re someone with whom people are always happy to chat, you’re doing it right.

Be Sociable
Okay, okay, you may not necessarily feel up to an animated chat at 9am on a Monday morning. That’s fair enough. But you should always make the effort to at least greet your co-workers and make some small talk in the mornings, rather than sullenly slinking to your seat in silence. Equally, it may be tempting to sit at your desk and check Facebook over lunch, but why not use the opportunity to chat with your colleagues instead? You shouldn’t feel pressured to attend every single work social either, but it’s always worth attending the ones you can make. You spend most of your time with the people you work with – why not get to know them a little better away from the office?

Keep Communal Areas Tidy
If your office space has a designated break room, lunch room, or kitchen, you don’t want to be the one who’s always leaving a mess behind. It’s not that difficult to chuck food wrappers in the bin, or to mop up spilled tea. It’s even worse to have to deal with people who never do their own washing up, and are content to leave a mound of dirty dishes in the sink. Either take a sponge to it yourself or stick it in the dishwasher – don’t leave it for your co-workers or the office cleaners to do it for you.

The Little Things
Your priority at work should always be, well, your work. You should always channel your energy and motivation into your assignments, and focus on being the best you can be within that sphere. Having said that, sometimes it’s worth making a little extra effort for your co-workers as well – for example, if you go away on holiday, why not bring back some tasty treats for the office kitchen? If you’re moving house and need to give stuff away, why not spread the word round your office? If you’ve got a spare ticket to a concert, why not ask one of your co-workers if they want it? If there’s a nice restaurant or pub by your office, why not invite some of your colleagues to check it out with you after work? Going the extra mile in your assigned work is all very well and good, but fostering good relationships with your co-workers can be even more rewarding.

Cleaning Children Toy in Bandar Kinrara, Damansara, Seri Kembangan, Subang

How to Clean the Children Toy

Toys are your little one’s best friends for the better part of the day. If you happen to be your children’s best friend, you probably aren’t at home for the better hours of the day thus leaving them to be with these images that mimics real objects. These objects are taken everywhere during the day. Lucky enough, there are some ways that can be used to clean these toys thus getting them look as clean as new or even as good as new. Even with their faded color, thus a hindrance to making the toys regain their new look, you should still clean the toys to keep them off germs thus reducing the risks of your children contracting a disease. Below are some golden tips to use.

1. Rub-a-dub: Bath Toys
If you didn’t know, your children’s bath time toys can be the perfect bacteria and mold breeding ground. To ensure that your children get a clean bath below is a toxic free method to employ in cleaning their toys.
· Start by tossing the toys in your dish-washing machine to give it a quick, hands-free dirt removal.
· A vinegar solution diluted in hot water will be effective enough in dirt removal.
· You can also decide to seal up the holes with hot glue to prevent water from getting inside.
· Ensure you air dry each of the toys after use thus preventing the growth of mold and bacteria. If any water logging occurs with slimy grime within the toys, it is an indication that you need to get your little ones a new set of bath toys.

2. Cleaning the Stuffed Teddy Bears
Cleaning these animal dolls does more than just keeping them appealing to look at but also keeping them from molds, bacteria, and allergens. The good news is that these types of dolls can easily be washed in the washing machines. Together with your other fabric, put the bears in a washing machine and clean them up to ensure that they become germs free.

3. Cleaning the Wet & Wild Looking Hairstyle Dolls
Just like in human beings, the appearance of the dolls can be determined by the how kempt the hair is. If that doll has a mane that looks horrible as an aftermath of being dumped in water or due to wear, rinsing in hot water will do a great job in taming the tangles of the doll’s hair. Another solution is to spray the hair using the magical hairspray for taming the frizz of doll’s hair. All you need to make the solution is 2 tablespoons of liquid fabric softener and water. Mix in a spray bottle, shake well, spray on the hair and comb it with a wire brush.

4. Cleaning the Push Toys
Start by checking the label to find out if there are some manufacturer specifications on how to clean these toys. For instance, there are some toys that aren’t machine washable with others requiring some specific cleaner types.

For the toys that don’t come with a label, wash them in machines. This is because most of the push-toys are machine washable and for the manufacturer not to caution you against machine washing, it means it is compatible with these machines. For the very dirty or soiled toys, a little baking soda is sprinkled on them before putting in the machine.

5. Spot Cleaning of Wool Toys
Wool toys are not machine washable thus it is important we know how to clean them. Spot cleaning of the stains in an alternative of keeping them clean. With the use of a cloth dumped in mild soap, dab out the stain and leave the toy to dry out. If they are extremely dirty, consider hand washing in a bathtub or basin with the use of wool soap. Dry them under the sun rather than in the drying machine.

6. Washing Plastic Toys
Cleaning Using a DishwasherFill the dishwasher to the brim with your children’s toys just before you retire to bed. Stuff all the toys including the ones they haven’t been playing with in the recent past. A simple criterion you can use to choose what to put in the dishwasher and what not to put is:

· The toys should have neither fabric nor any soft parts
· There shouldn’t be any wooden toys or toys with wooden parts
· Don’t put a battery-operated toy in a dishwasher
· Don’t put toys whose functionality would be ruined by water for example toys having push buttons, or balls, designed to be lighting up.
· The toys shouldn’t have removable parts or loose parts.

Step-by-Step Procedure
i. Randomly place small things in your dishwasher’s silverware holder.
ii. Fill the top with smaller pieces and the bottom with your children’s bigger toys.
iii. By ensuring that the heated dry is off, add natural dishwasher detergent and give it a gentle cycle. You don’t really want to see the toys having melted upon removal.

That’s it. In the morning, you will have a batch of spiffy clean and germs free toys. There will be reduced cold germs in your house thus a cut on the medical bills.

7. Cleaning the Plastic Toys: Using a Sanitizing Solution
Disinfection of toys is not just prudent but mandatory for any parent who is health conscious about their children. Disinfection is one of the surest ways of keeping your little ones safe from diseases that are transferred by toys. There are numerous sanitizing solutions in the stores and whichever you go for is a decision for you to make.

8. Washing the Toys by Hand
Probably, you don’t have a dishwasher or the toys happen to be bigger than the dishwasher can accommodate or even the toys aren’t compatible with dish washing. If that’s the case, using warm soapy water, in conjunction with the disinfection/sanitizing solution, rub the toys using a wash brush/cloth.

Be sure to remove batteries before washing. The use of vinegar together with baking soda added to the water makes would be advisable in the event that the toys are grimy and/or greasy.
